Beyond GPS
FocalPoint gives customers visibility into the location of people and/or valuable assets. Going beyond GPS, FocalPoint renders information from Active GPS satellites and from cell towers to locate tracked entities outdoors and indoors. The location information is transmitted continuously or "on demand" to FocalPoint using commercial, ubiquitous cellular network technology; the frequency of transmission is set by the user for specific scheduled intervals, optimizing battery life of devices and network cost. Location points are displayed on high definition maps in 2 or 3 dimensions and with aerial or hybrid views, providing extremely accurate representations of where assets and individuals are located.
FocalPoint™
Geospatial Rules and Notifications
With FocalPoint, customers create zones and schedules for when and where the tracking entity is (or is not) supposed to be. FocalPoint allows for virtually any shape of zone, including circles, squares, rectangles, or point-and-click polygons for custom shapes and routes. Whenever these geospatial rules are violated, the customer is notified immediately through

FocalPoint's workflow engine enables customers to configure geospatial rules based on their business processes. These rules can be easily updated based in real-time events involving the tracked entity. For instance, the tracking frequency can be set to increase if a monitored device enters a particular location.
Patent-Pending Precision Engine
The patent-pending precision engine in FocalPoint gives the most accurate location results, making data even more precise than that received from common Active GPS systems. FocalPoint uses proprietary algorithms to determine the accuracy of the data received from devices and what corrections need to be made to improve location point precision based on each usage scenario.
Usage Scenarios
Government
Government agencies and community corrections organizations across the country use Omnilink's one-piece offender monitoring devices and FocalPoint software to monitor the location of offenders in alternative sanctions programs. Omnilink's offender monitoring solution even allows officers to track the proximity of an offender to a victim or criminal cohort; officers can then receive notifications if the offender gets too close.
Commercial
In the commercial market, Omnilink solutions are currently being used for surveillance and loss prevention: fo high-value asset tracking, to covertly track vehicles, and to track stolen goods.
